The First United Methodist Church Early Childhood Center is committed to be a program for it's church families and the Stillwater community at large. The educational program is of nonsectarian, Judeo-Christian style and is designed to nurture individual needs of children, providing them with an opportunity to grow and develop through independence, decision making and problem solving. A warm, relaxed and safe setting, a well trained staff, and developmentally appropriate equipment and activities provide ideal opportunities for social, emotional, physical, aesthetic, and intellectual growth. For more information, please contact Chris Ward.
We will be accepting registrations for 2018-19 school year starting in April.  Please click here to download the enrollment form for the fall. Email the back to Chris Ward at, or contact her at (405) 533-2456.

Our curriculum is a developmentally appropriate program designed to give each child the opportunity to learn at his/her own level of development. To enhance the child's ability to work at his/her level, each of the classrooms are set up in age appropriate learning centers. Learning centers encourage the child "to come and see, come and do, come and learn." Whether a child selects one center or another, the end result will be the learning necessary for that particular child's growth.
Our curriculum goals focus on children's social, emotional, intellectual and physical development. These goals are not necessarily dealt with separately, but all are interrelated in the program. Field trips, resource persons and special activities are arranged during the year to enhance our curriculum goals.

Children's Day Out

Children's Day Out offers a program five days a week for children between the ages of ten months and three years. Everyone who uses the program must make a permanent reservation. Children may stay for a half day or full day session and for one through five days per week.
Half day is 8:30 to 11:15 a.m. and full day is 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Preschool and Pre-K

Our preschool program offers three options. You may enroll your child in the Tuesday/Thursday class, Monday/Wednesday/Friday class, or all five days.  Children participate in a wide variety of activities including cooking, field trips and library visits.
The morning session is 8:30 to 11:15 am., but may be extended until 2:00 p.m. for an additional fee.
