Confirmation class at FUMC is a two year program for youth in sixth and seventh grades. Class meets on Wednesday afternoon throughout the school year immediately following the school day. Students are picked up at the school by volunteers driving the church vans and brought to church for class.
Classes cover all basic aspects of being a Christian in the United Methodist Church and prepare the students to be confirmed as full members of the First United Methodist Church.
Each
class is confirmed during worship one Sunday in May and each person in the class
becomes a full member of the First United Methodist Church.
