Adult Sunday School ClassesTo learn more about our classes either scroll through the page or jump to a class by selecting the name.
Bible: Room 104 (first floor, southeast wing). The
Bible Class is progressing through the scriptures having started with Genesis in
December 2006 and is currently reading Genesis. Class discussion is very
informal. Please come and help us with our journey. Service project – Love Feast
and Thursday Night Community Meal. Charitus: FLC Rm. 107/109. A
discussion class led by Dave Robinson, Jim Osborn, Jerry Gill, and Bettie Jo
Knight and Willis Mackey. Studying Cokesbury’s Adult Bible Studies.
Service projects aid the OSU Wesley Foundation, Southern Heights UMC Love Feast,
and youth projects. Covenant: Room 314 (third floor, Northwest side).
Class of married and single adults mostly 40 plus in age. Studies are taught by
a variety of class members and always include lively, thought-provoking
discussions. Service projects and social activities are ongoing. Faith: Room 111 (first floor). A class for adults
with special needs. Ongoing service and mission projects. Friendship: Room 105 (first floor, west
side). A class of senior citizens that uses lecture and discussion to study
Adult Bible Studies. The class contributes to the Faith Class and the OSU Wesley
Foundation. Grace – Room 311 (third floor, south
end). The Grace class consists of couples & singles studying various issues of
faith. Jim Richardson: Chapel (main floor, north of sanctuary). Taught by a rotation of class members. Adult Bible Studies is used with lively discussion about relevant current issues. Many senior citizens bring a wealth of experience, church tradition, and interaction. Contact: Edith Noell Pathfinders: Parlor (main floor). A class
currently consisting of retirement-age couples (all ages welcomed). We are
currently studying a James Moore series. This class
helps fund the Early Childhood Center Scholarship Fund. More information on PathfindersRoundtable: Room 108 (downstairs, southeast
wing). Discussion class of young-at-heart persons. Currently led by Lee Talley,
we are studying from the Adult Bible Studies. This may change later in the
year as we still are learning and growing in our religious journey. We
contribute to Samuteb Memorial Hospital, Democratic Republic of the Congo. More information on RoundtableSowers: Room 312 (upstairs, south
end). A medium-sized class for couples and singles raising families.
Studying various issues relating to the Bible and family life. More information on SowersTravelers: Room 314
(upstairs, south end) Adult class of varying ages welcomes all to join in
studies and discussion. Voyagers: FLC Rm. 104. A
medium-sized discussion class of single and married adults, ranging from ages
35-45+ (all ages welcome), studying a wide variety of Bible studies and
contemporary issues from a Christian Perspective. Service projects include
financial support to Southern Heights UMC Love Feast and Action, Inc. Social
activities. Fellowship: FLC Rm. 111. A
class for those who are newly married or are engaged. Frequent social
